Táganan Parcela Margalagua 2024 is one of the most special wines from Envínate , a project created by four winemaker friends that has become a benchmark for Atlantic wines in Spain. It comes from a single plot in Táganan , in the Anaga massif , northeast of Tenerife : a very steep slope, just a few meters above the Atlantic Ocean .
It’s a red wine made from a blend of native Canarian grape varieties such as Listán Negro , Negramoll , Vijariego Negro , Malvasía Negra , and Baboso , among others. Listán Negro and Negramoll contribute freshness, red fruit, and a spicy profile. Vijariego and Baboso add color, depth, and structure.
A red wine from old, ungrafted vines , with a lot of personality, which expresses like few others the strength of the volcanic soil and the influence of the sea.

Appearance: Medium-bodied cherry red with a violet rim and good brightness.
Nose: Fresh red and black fruit , with a marked note of pepper , mountain herbs, flowers and a very characteristic volcanic and smoky background.
Palate: Lively and precise entry, with fine tannins and an Atlantic acidity that gives it great tension. Silky texture, great minerality and a long, saline and spicy finish.
The grapes come from vines between 100 and 300 years old , ungrafted and untrained, planted at an altitude of 100-200 meters in sandy volcanic soils rich in iron, with red basalt. The vineyard is farmed organically and the harvest is done by hand.
The wine ferments with native yeasts and whole clusters in small, open containers, with daily foot treading. It is then aged for approximately 11 months in used 500-liter French oak barrels , which preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. Production is very limited.
A very gastronomic red wine that works especially well with game meats , grilled red meats , roasted poultry, stews , suckling pig and aged cheeses.
It is also a very good option for Canarian cuisine and for dishes with a spicy or smoky touch.
Because it’s a unique wine, from a plot of land that’s almost impossible to work, with century-old vines that have survived phylloxera. For us, it’s one of the purest expressions of Tenerife wines .
We love its balance of fruit, pepper, and salinity, and how it combines depth and lightness. A wine for lovers of terroir wines and for anyone who wants to discover the power of volcanic wines .
