DVI Vinoteca was born from a simple idea: wine is best enjoyed when it is understood and shared. We like to combine established brands with contemporary offerings that reflect the evolution of wine.
At the front of the wine shop, you’ll find David Perramon and Gerard Gené , sommeliers involved in every selection, every tasting, and every recommendation. We believe in direct communication, explaining things without complicating them, and making wine accessible without sacrificing depth.
We work from Barcelona, with a presence in Poblenou, maintaining an expert perspective and a close way of experiencing wine.

We work in collaboration with wineries and winegrowers who share the same way of understanding wine: respect for origin, authenticity and coherence in each project.

SOMMELIERS
David Perramon
Sommelier since 2010 from the CETT School of Tourism and Hospitality of Barcelona.
As a result of a life change, I went from working in a Finance department of large companies to developing a personal project in an environment that deals with sensations and the intangible.
I opened my first DVI Vinoteca shop in 2010 in the heart of Poblenou, my adopted neighborhood in Barcelona, with the idea of bringing artisanal wines closer to people and doing so by talking about aromas, textures, pairings… all within a local, zero-kilometer environment. In part, this project fulfills my desire to reconnect with the seasons, the climate, the geography, and to feel more connected to reality.
Together with my partner Gerard Gené, who joined in 2015, we are ambitious in pursuing this idea and haven’t been idle. We’ve started new projects such as regular wine tastings and a Wine Club. In 2021, we opened our shop in Sant Andreu del Palomar, Barcelona, and in 2024, we revamped our website to showcase who we are and what we do, and we also launched our online store.
We work and enjoy ourselves, tasting with our clients, many of whom are now friends…and we will continue like this in the future!
Gerard Gené
I’m Gerard, born in 1982, without a doubt this was an excellent vintage…
I am considered a curious and very passionate person in everything I do. My academic path led me to study Geography and Tourism, but I finally found my true passion in the world of wine.
I immersed myself in my studies and obtained the title of Sommelier, where I can combine my love for culture, history, and geography with my fascination for the unique flavors and aromas that wine offers.
I joined DVI in 2015 and during these years David and I have created many synergies together, forming a dynamic and very efficient work team.
In addition, I have a great passion for music, film and sports, and whenever I can I like to go to concerts, as well as watch live sports.
Spending time with my family and friends is fundamental to me; I enjoy lively conversations, shared laughter, and creating unforgettable memories together.
