Wine pairing dinner at Bistro Nou

This month we’re really looking forward to sharing a very special dinner with you. We invite you to a wine pairing dinner at Bistro Nou , a small bistro that has just opened right here in our Poblenou neighborhood, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz.

Behind the stoves is Romain Eprendre , a Norman chef with a background that’s evident on the plate. He trained in Paris with Alexandre Gauthier, cooked in South America, and spent two and a half years at Rafa Peña’s Gresca here in Barcelona. From all that experience has emerged a cuisine that is very much his own: creative, market-driven, and unpretentious.

What we love about their cooking

• It has the soul of a French bistro , with a lot of technique but without ostentation.
• Respect Catalan and seasonal products : artisan cheeses from the Pyrenees, cured meats and market vegetables.
• It dares to incorporate influences from all over the world : a touch of Japanese ponzu, ceviche, South American merkén, tacos…
• And it puts a twist on the classics , like its patatas bravas or churros with chocolate mousse that you can’t miss.

And why do we think it’s a perfect pairing?
Because it’s a cuisine full of contrasts: acidic, smoky, salty, spicy, and sweet. For us, it’s a real game. We’re already choosing the wines for each dish, and what excites us most is that you discover with us how the same wine can completely change depending on what it’s paired with.
