Terraprima is one of the wines from Can Ràfols dels Caus, one of the great names in the Penedès region, located in the Garraf Massif. Founded in 1979 by Carlos Esteva, the project was a pioneer in reclaiming the land, recovering old vineyards, and producing wines with a distinctive identity.
In this 2025 vintage, Terraprima is presented in a particularly fresh and light version, made exclusively with Garnacha and Cariñena grapes. These two Mediterranean varieties, grown on the poor, stony, calcareous soils of the Garraf region, produce a lively, juicy, and highly expressive red wine.
A Mediterranean wine but without heaviness, designed to be enjoyed slightly chilled and to let yourself be carried away by its fruit and freshness.

Appearance: Medium-bodied cherry color with violet tones.
Nose: aromas of fresh red and black fruit, with Mediterranean notes and a slight mineral character.
On the palate: a pleasant and fruity entry, with fresh acidity and a lively, juicy sensation. It has good tension and a minerality that adds depth, but without being heavy or overly structured.
Made by Can Ràfols dels Caus from Garnacha and Cariñena grapes, from vineyards located in the Massís del Garraf, on calcareous, poor and stony soils.
The winery’s philosophy seeks to express the uniqueness of the territory and preserve the Mediterranean character of its vineyards.
Ideal with cured meats, semi-cured cheeses, escalivada, hamburgers, homemade pizza and Mediterranean dishes.
It is also a perfect red wine to drink slightly chilled , especially in hot weather.
We like it because it’s one of those red wines that proves that a Mediterranean wine doesn’t necessarily have to be powerful or heavy .
Fruit, freshness, tension, and a good sense of terroir define this easy-drinking wine, which nonetheless has enough personality to make a statement. A very food-friendly red, especially enjoyable chilled.
